Protecting the environment at Denali National Park & Preserve is particularly important. ARAMARK and we have made environmental education and awareness for our visitors a priority.

Denali Parks Resorts has received recognition for its environmental initiatives. This recognition includes:

Outstanding Business Recycler in Alaska” from Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALPAR)
Green Star Award” from the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce for its green business practices in the lodging operation.

Environmental Achievement Award from Fort Howard Corp. for leadership in solid waste management through commitment to recycling waste paper.

The tours operated by Denali Park Resorts, designed to educate our visitors about the treasures of the Alaskan environment and heritage, focus on preservation and conservation. The tours are effective in fostering environmental stewardship. The question “The information given during the tour has changed my attitude towards the environment” was asked for both the Tundra Wilderness Tour and The Denali Natural History Tour. For the Tundra Wilderness Tour 47% of passengers agreed or strongly agreed that the tour had changed their attitude towards the environment. For the Denali Natural History Tour the percentage was even greater at 57%.
