Alaska Railroad: The Alaska Railroad route spans more than 500 miles from Seward to Denali National Park on to Fairbanks. It is an experience of a lifetime and Alaska's State Railroad runs directly to the entrance of Denali National Park & Preserve. Friendly hospitality, born of Alaska’s frontier spirit, lives on at the Alaska Railroad through the tour guides and onboard services staff. Black Diamond Golf Course: Playing golf at Midnight in Denali National Park is unlike any course you’ve ever played. Black Diamond Golf Course is a challenging course with Alaskan hazards such as tundra marsh or the occasional moose hoof print. It’s a relatively short course which makes it accessible and fun for any style of play.
Helicopter Flightseeing: Viewing Denali National Park in a helicopter is life changing. Walk upon an ancient glacier in the world famous Alaska Range! Trek through the wild Alaskan backcountry with an experienced local naturalist at your side. You’ll get to explore remote areas that are normally a full day’s hike away. Lift off in a modern A-Star helicopter and get ready for your breathtaking birds-eye view of the Alaskan wilderness. Your adventure begins at our heliport overlooking the Nenana River. Husky Homestead Tour: Enjoy a warm welcome and experience a true Alaskan lifestyle at Husky Homestead, home of Iditarod Champion Jeff King. This tour is widely heralded as an authentic look into rural lifestyles based on 35 years of Alaskan adventures. Be greeted by cuddly puppies and share an intimate view of the Alaskan Husky as they explode from the kennel on a training run. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a championship team and carving a life in Alaska's Interior. Hear compelling stories from the trail and see actual racing sleds, arctic survival gear and equipment used to traverse 1100 miles of Alaska's most rugged terrain.
Denali Fly Fishing Guides: Denali Fly Fishing Guides offer personalized and fully outfitted fly fishing excursions into the Alaska Range. Trip opportunities include half day, full day and multi day trips using lightweight fly gear pursuing Arctic Grayling and Rainbow Trout fishing in Alaska. All trips are on foot on small mountain streams offering a true wilderness experience within sight of Denali.
Denali ATV: Traveling along old coal mine and ATV trails, this tour includes two breathtaking overlooks, with wildlife often sighted along the way. It then heads down to the creek bed, where drivers spend about 15-20 minutes splashing through the water, with the total tour covering about ten miles. The creek bed portion of the tour also includes time where the guides may permit drivers to drive on their own in a designated area, conditions permitting.
Denali Jeep Backcountry Safari: You and your fellow adventurers will take the wheel of 4-WD Jeep Wranglers® and follow your guide on a spectacular off-road journey into Denali’s backcountry. Your adventure begins near the entrance to Denali National Park where you meet your guide, receive your orientation and Jeep® assignment, then head North a short distance on the George Parks Highway toward the town of Healy.
Denali Wilderness Safari: The safari tours are heated jet boat rides that tour into the "bush", where locals share hunting, prospecting, trapping and dog mushing lore on the Nenana River. All trips are fully guided by experts familiar with Alaska Living. There is a good chance of getting a great close-up view of some of the “locals”. Alaskan wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful with a great chance of spotting moose, grizzly bear, ptarmigan, eagles, and more!
Johnny Johnson Gallery: A must-see! Johnny has been capturing the spectacular Alaska Wild since 1977 after his years as a park ranger. Come browse the gallery located in the main lobby and gift shop. Visit the gift shop to purchase one of these magnificent pieces of art.
